SHOWCASE
Welcome to the showcase area; we’re working hard on making cool demos that you can play and learn from – remember, all pikle demos and tutorials come with full source code. Here are some of the showcase demos we’re currently working on – all are in various states of completion but they’re all playable.
To view the source code, remember to press the power button to bring up the hub, then select CODE to open the Code Editor. The editor will show the code of whatever is running at the time (if you’re quick enough when the console boots, you can do this to view the source code of the PIKLE/OS splash sequence).
In all web demos, any changes you make will be lost when you press MENU to reboot the console.

Maniacal (PLAY NOW)
Tribute to a widely loved classic, Manic Miner, originally released back in 1983. Written by Matthew Smith and published by Bug Byte Software Ltd in the UK.
Learn how to display and animate 2D sprites and build a simple tile-based level.

Escape from Castle Schloss (PLAY NOW)
Based on the PC classic Wolfenstein. While not the first ever first-person shooter, it certainly paved the way for what has become a major genre on modern games consoles.
Follow the tutorial to learn how to re-create a block-based 3D level and combine 2D and 3D elements.

Stunt Racer (PLAY NOW)
An Amiga classic! My first experience of 3D graphics when I was a kid.
We show you how you can generate a custom 3D track based on a model made in Blender.
There’s also some vehicle physics to get you driving around the track

Trench Run (PLAY NOW)
This one might feel familiar if you’re old enough! This is the classic arcade Star Wars – with some extra Pikle!
Learn how to re-create the trench from the Death Star and how to get players and enemies to follow a spline path.
